New Family Resources

Willkommen! Wir freuen uns auf dich - we're glad you're here!

On this page, you can access information about procedures and protocols to help your family get started at TCGIS. Please contact info@tcgis.org with additional questions!

School Supplies & Start/End Times

The 2022-2023 school year starts on Wednesday, August 31 for Kindergarten students, and on Monday, August 29 for students in grades 1-8. If you're joining TCGIS after the first day of school, the Enrollment Coordinator will work with you to determine what day your child(ren) will start school.

Please view the supply lists for grades K-4 or 5-8 to know what to bring to school on the first day.

Classes start at 8:15 AM, but your child should arrive by 8:10 to have time to get to class. The school day ends at 3:15 on most days, with one early release day each month ending at 12:45. Early release days, as well as other school events, are posted on our calendar.

Please view this video on arrival and dismissal procedures at TCGIS. You can also see the same information in PDF format.

Infinite Campus

Infinite Campus is our student information system for tracking attendance, grades, health information, contact details, etc.

You should receive the instructions to register for Infinite Campus in your initial registration email. After you complete the Online Registration process, you will receive an automated email with instructions on activating your account. Each parent/guardian should have their own account.

Please view the following materials for more information on using Infinite Campus:
  • Getting Started with Campus Student & Campus Parent (PDF)
  • Getting Started with Campus Student & Campus Parent (video)
  • Campus Student & Campus Parent Help Center
  • How to use the Campus Parent portal

PikMyKid

TCGIS uses the PikMyKid app to coordinate end-of-day dismissal options for elementary school students. Please download the app from the Apple or Google Play store. If you're joining before the start of the school year, you will receive information about adding your children to PikMyKid in August. If you're joining after the start of the school year, please send up to 2 guardians' names and cell phone numbers to enrollment@tcgis.org.

Anyone who will be picking up your child must also register themselves with the application. Their screen will be blank until you assign them authorization within the app.

You will tell us what your child's default dismissal mode should be:
  • Van Slyke Car Pickup (the default mode for new students)
  • Bus
  • Independent Walker
  • Walking Pickup
  • Kinderclub

Any day your child’s dismissal plan is different from their default mode or someone else is picking them up, please submit a pickup mode change or delegation change. Some additional options include Girl Scouts, enrichment classes, and sports. You can also set changes to recur if, for example, they attend Kinderclub on the same day every week.

You will receive a green tag for your car for Van Slyke Car Pickup. Please place this in the passenger window of your car.

If you do not have a smartphone, you may register your child with PikMyKid through the web application by visiting this link. If you require a code or have questions, please call PikMyKid at: 813-452-5361 and they should be able to help you.

Additional PikMyKid resources:
  • video from TCGIS
  • video made by PikMyKid
  • PikMyKid Parent App support
  • PikMyKid registration how-to
  • How to cancel a calendar change
  • How to add a delegation

TCGIS only uses PikMyKid for elementary school students; middle school students are trusted to coordinate their dismissal plan with their parents/guardians. If questions arise, the front office will call home.
