All Camp Counselors speak German, so in some English-led camps the languages will be both German and English. Registration age is based on this school year (i.e., if your child is currently in second grade, please register in the K-2 camps). Registration is also open for 2023-24 Kindergarteners. Week 1 / June 26-30
Art & Crafting (In German) (Grades K-2) - Frau Davies
During this Camp the students will be able to craft various projects that they can bring home with them. They will learn stamping techniques, origami, button making and how to use pipe cleaners. They will have a choice as to whether they want to participate in the activities or just draw. Art is good for developing creative thinking and creative problem solving skills, along with fine and gross motor skills.
Spielen & Spielen (In German) (Grades K-2) - Frau Jelinski
We will do all kinds of games -- outdoors, indoors, video games -- to learn new games and play the favorites (in both English and German). We will also get a chance to make up our own games and play them as a group.
Sport (In German) (Grades K-2 & 3-6) - Herr und Frau Fretwell
We will have soccer, running, hockey, basketball and more sports. You will spend half the day with Frau Fretwell and the other half with Herr Fretwell. You will be grouped by age/ability and we will be inside and outside.
Young Track Athletes (In German ) (Grades 3-6) - Herr Tabisz
In track camp, we will learn the basics about the different disciplines: running, jumping, throwing and sprinting. We will play games that work on technique for each discipline. This is a great introduction to the world of track-and-field.
Harry Potter (In German) (Grades 3-6) - Frau Bradley
Explore the Wizarding World with us as we make Butterbeer, play Quidditch, craft our own wizard chess sets, and more!

Kunst in der Natur-Creative by Nature (In German) (Grades K-2) - Frau Jelinski We will get out into nature and discover art that the trees, grass, and lake show us. We will also paint, draw and sculpt from what we see in nature. Wild About Nature (In German) (Grades 3-6) - Herr Graf Wild about Nature Camp: Campers become “Eco-Explorers”, as they investigate the natural surroundings at camp. We will take forest treks, Lake walks, and tours about local wildlife. Wild about Nature Camp is filled with exploration and environmental education, we’ll focus on fort building and discovery of the many wild inhabitants of Como Lake and woodlands. Fußball Camp (In German) (Grades 3-6) - Herr Eberhard The TCGIS soccer camp is designed to introduce kids to playing soccer. Both beginners and club players are welcome to sign up. The camp will consist of a practice a day including skills practice (passing, dribbling, shooting, etc.), competitions, scrimmages, and snack and water breaks. Fun with Numbers (In English, with all Camp Counselors speaking German) (Grades 3-6) - Herr Graf This camp offers an outrageous week of games and activities, fostering curiosity, discussion and growth, through cooperation, collaboration and creative thinking. Participants will spend the week building structures, solving mysteries, and be exposed to the beauty and creativity of the mathematical world. Each activity will be structured as to be accessible and challenging for all who attend. |

Participants will spend the week building structures, solving mysteries, and be exposed to the beauty and creativity of the mathematical world. Each activity will be structured as to be accessible and challenging for all who attend. LEGO Camp (In English) (Grades K-2) - Herr Horsch LEGO camp will provide students with fun lego building challenges and team based competitions while learning about the worlds of engineering, stop motion movie-making and architecture. Studio Art Camp (In German) (Grades 3-6) - Hamer This camp will teach foundational art skills in a variety of media including but not limited to drawing, watercolor, and found object sculpture. Projects will be based on student interest. |
