Schöne Grüsse von der Twin Cities German Immersion School!
In our ever-changing, globally interconnected world, it becomes more important with every passing year to understand, and communicate with others of diverse backgrounds. At the Twin Cities German Immersion School, a public charter school, our children and our staff do this every day. Our shared mission goes well beyond biliteracy in German and English.
TCGIS students strengthen our communities. Their foundation in multiple languages, proven academic outcomes, creative problem-solving skills and commitment to team performance position TCGIS students well as future employees in an ever adapting market.
Committed to our mission of “Innovative education of the whole child through German immersion,” our public charter school has grown from 46 students in 2005 to over 500 in grades K-8 in 2018. For the second year in a row, we have over 100 new families applying for admission to next year’s Kindergarten class, with a substantial wait list!
