The TCGIS Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the search is concluded and they have signed a contract with the next executive director.
The TCGIS Board of Directors is contracting with School Exec Connect, an executive search firm, to assist with the search for a new school director. Staff and parents had the opportunity to give confidential feedback to the consultants via an online survey and focus group discussions. Using this information, School Exec Connect has developed a profile of the skills and characteristics desired in the next school director.

The board has created a Hiring Committee to handle the bulk of this work. The Hiring Committee is composed of board members Julie Alkatout, Dianne Bell, Emily Albers, Richard Heid, and Rich Iwen, and staff members Katrin Zinnow and Kevin Eberhard.

- January 20: Meet with Board to establish search process
- January 25: Stakeholder letter to explain process and create feedback survey for staff and parents
- February 2 - 3: Meet with Board, staff, and Parent Council for input into the “New Director Profile”
- February 17: Submit proposed “New Director Profile” at the Board’s “Meeting of the Whole” committee. (6:30 p.m.)
- January 27-March 31: Publicize opening; post job description (which will be refined throughout the search as more input is collected); recruit candidates.
- April 13: Five to six candidates presented to Board and Hiring Committee (6:30 p.m.) in special board meeting
- April 14 - 16: First Interviews by Hiring Committee.
- April 19 - 21: Hiring Committee narrows choice to two or three.
- April 19 - 21: All Day Interview Process: Parents/staff interview finalists. Board conducts second interview.
- April 20 - 21: Board narrows choice to one.
