Back-to-School Night 2021

Welcome to our hybrid Back to School Night! 

We are glad you are here! Here you can access all of the information you would have learned in-person at Back to School Night. 
Many Zoom meetings were recorded. However, for data privacy we will not be publishing them on our website. Teachers may share them with class sections or by grade level by request, if recordings are available. There are also many presentations and videos on the following pages.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (K-4)

MEET THE TEACHERS
Our teachers can't wait to see your child(ren)! Grade-level teaching teams hosted Zoom meetings first, and then homeroom teachers hosted their own meetings after that. In addition: 
  • Specialist teachers (Kunst, Drama, Sport) made an introduction video.
  • ADSIS teachers hosted their own Zoom meetings and made an introductory presentation.
  • Special Ed teachers are connecting with families indivdiually.

MIDDLE SCHOOL (5-8)

MEET THE TEACHERS
Our teachers are excited to see your child(ren)!
​The Middle School team teaches across grade levels. They hosted Zoom meetings in chronological order (5th to 8th grade) at Back to School Night. 
  • Specialist teachers (Kunst, Drama, Tech, Yearbook) joined the grade-level meetings. 
  • ADSIS teachers hosted their own Zoom meetings and made an introductory presentation;
  • Special Ed teachers are connecting with families indivdiually.

ADSIS PROGRAM

MEET OUR ADSIS TEAM
ADSIS stands for Alternative Delivery of Specialized Instructional Services. ADSIS teachers provide small-group and one-to-one support for students in Math, German and English Reading, and Social/Emotional/Behavior Support.

SHARE YOUR TALENTS! 
There are many ways to be involved in building a strong TCGIS community. The PTO, the Parent Council and School Board committees offer concrete ways to share your talents and help shape our school's future. Learn more about these groups here. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL BAND

MIDDLE SCHOOL BAND & LESSONS 
Krista Johnson teaches middle school band through large- and small-group, and private lessons.  Learn more about participating in band, or taking lessons, in this video. 

PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS

​​MUSIC LESSONS AFTER SCHOOL (K-8)
​TCGIS students may take private music lessons taught at TCGIS Vienna Community Arts.  They offer music instruction for continuing and new TCGIS students in Piano, Violin, Classical Guitar,
Ukulele and Voice in three options :
  •  In Person at Student’s home
  • On- Line Instruction
  • At School for Kinderklub Attendees
