Language Access Resources
Communication with families in a language they can understand provides a foundation for students’ academic success and creates a welcoming school community. The Twin Cities German Immersion School is committed to communicating meaningfully with all families we serve to provide any and all school-related information and foster mutually beneficial, collaborative partnerships. The Language Access Plan (linked below) is intended to mitigate language or disability barriers so that families can make informed decisions in their children’s education. The plan is also a roadmap that will help staff navigate the process of setting deadlines, priorities, and identifying responsible personnel for policy and procedures development; hire, contract, assess, and ensure quality control of language assistance services; provide notice of services; provide training of staff; and conduct ongoing monitoring and evaluation.
This page provides a centralized collection point for the language plan, policies, forms, and other relevant language access information for use by community members.
