Welcome to the Family Engagement Council
Welcome to the TCGIS Family Engagement Council (FEC), a grassroots, all-volunteer organization dedicated to building a welcoming and connected school community at the Twin Cities German Immersion School.
Our Focus:
- Community Building: To foster relationships between families by hosting free, low-stakes community events - such as playground playdates, morning coffees, and cultural gatherings - without any fundraising pressures or financial obligations.
- Family Support: To help incoming and current families navigate the school environment and feel at home through our Family Ambassador Program.
- Bridging the Gap: To serve as a supportive resource for parents, helping to direct questions, suggestions, and feedback to the appropriate school
administrators or resources.
Organization & Membership
The Family Engagement Council is open to all TCGIS parents and guardians at any time. You can choose your own level of involvement!
Whether you want to help coordinate a playground playdate, bake for a morning coffee, welcome new students as a Family Ambassador, or simply meet other parents, you are invited to join us. While the PTO focuses on fundraising and financially supporting the school, the FEC is dedicated to supporting families.
